Domopage user guide
Everything you need to set up Domopage, create your first property page and understand your seller reports.
Getting started
Install the plugin, complete four settings, and you can publish your first page.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.2 or later and PHP 8.0 or later.
- Your listings on a public web page, such as your agency website.
- Working email from WordPress. If your site doesn’t send email reliably, install an SMTP plugin first.
- Recommended: HTTPS, and Cloudflare or a similar CDN if you want visitor countries in reports.
Install
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and search for “Domopage”, or upload the zip file.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- A Domopage item appears in the admin menu.
First-run checklist
- Settings → Brand: upload your logo, set your company name, phone and colours.
- Settings → Languages & form: choose up to 3 languages, the enquiry email and your privacy policy URL (required before publishing).
- Settings → Compliance: choose the country of your listings and add your registration number if your region requires one.
- Optional: Settings → AI to have copy written and translated with your own Claude or OpenAI key.
- Create a test page and send yourself an enquiry.
Settings
All settings live under Domopage → Settings and apply to every landing page.
| Tab | Setting | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | Logo | Your normal logo, for white backgrounds. A transparent PNG or SVG looks best. |
| Brand | Logo for dark backgrounds | Optional white logo shown over the photo. If empty, your normal logo sits on a small white plate. |
| Brand | Colours | Main colour for buttons and accents; highlight colour for calls to action. Pale colours fall back automatically. |
| Brand | Font style | Classic, Modern or Elegant. Device fonts only, so pages load fast and contact no font service. |
| Languages & form | Languages | Up to 3 (Lite). The one marked main is the language your copy is written in. |
| Languages & form | Enquiries, privacy, WhatsApp | Where leads are sent, your privacy policy link, an optional WhatsApp number and an optional marketing opt-in. |
| Compliance | Country, registration, notices | Shows that country’s advertising rules and adds your registration number and notices to the footer. |
| AI | Provider and key | Claude (Anthropic) or ChatGPT (OpenAI). Usage is billed to your own account. |
Creating a page
Every page is created from one listing URL, reviewed by you, then published. Nothing goes live until you click Publish page.
- Import. Go to Domopage → Create page, paste the listing URL and click Generate.
- Check the details. Confirm name, location and price. Add key facts one per line, for example “Bedrooms: 3” or “3 Bedrooms”.
- Energy rating. Choose A–G, “Certificate in progress” or “Exempt”.
- Photos. Untick unwanted images and choose the hero.
- Copy. Edit the introduction, headings and texts for each language. Leave the second section empty to hide it.
- Preview, then publish. Pages live at
/property-lp/property-name/, with other languages at?lang=esand so on.
Tips for ads
- Add
?utm_source=facebook(or google, newsletter…) to campaign links so the seller report shows which channel brought each lead. - Send yourself a test enquiry before a campaign goes live.
Leads and the seller report
Every enquiry arrives by email and is counted in the page’s seller report, alongside WhatsApp contacts and visits.
Open a published page from Domopage → Landing pages to see the last 30 days: visitors, page views, form enquiries, WhatsApp contacts, the share of visitors who got in touch, and breakdowns by country, language and source. Click Open printable report (PDF) for a branded A4 report to send to the property owner.
Privacy and GDPR
- No cookies. Visitor statistics use a daily hash that is deleted every night; no IP address is stored.
- No third-party scripts or fonts on landing pages.
- Consent. The privacy checkbox is required; the marketing checkbox is optional and unticked, and both are recorded in each enquiry email.
- Data minimisation. Enquiries are emailed, not stored in WordPress.
- AI. Only listing text is sent to your chosen AI provider, never visitor or enquiry data.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| “No usable title and description were found” | The listing site builds its pages with JavaScript or blocks automated access. Try another listing URL. |
| Page shows 404 | Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save once. |
| Enquiry emails don’t arrive | Install an SMTP plugin and send a test email. Check spam folders. |
| AI request failed (401/403) | The API key is wrong or inactive. Paste it again in Settings → AI. |
| A language is missing on the page | That language has no copy yet. Translate it or fill it in on the review screen. |
| Countries show as “Unknown” | Put the site behind Cloudflare (the free plan works). |
